And if so... how did you put it on there? Pen it on with a sharpy? Buy some sort of ID tag?

Newbie with a new board would love to know!

Oh yeah? I did wonder about those...

Sweet, I can see our DYMO machine at work going missing as I put labels on EVERYTHING kite boarding I own...

Thanks for the Tip.

I used a paint marker. Works well! Is there since 3 years now without getting wiped off.

the only thing with that was when dan put my name and number he put black text on mine and parts of the 3d design were black so you can only see half the numbers so i went over it with white paint

Sharpie is fine for a while

Mate lost his board at Lieghton(name/no on it), fisho picked it up 3 days later half way to Rotto and returned

I put my name on mine after that

Black permanent marker on one board and all kites
silver duct tape plus permanent marker on my black carbon board
It is essential also on the kites guys. If it gets blown out to sea
and picked up by the water police or sea rescue you save them
a great deal of effort .. if they don't have a number they usually
search a while until they are convinced it is just a kite ...
it is a courtesy to our rescue people not just for your own benefit.
Those who loose their kites in the power lined may think differently :)

have fun

Black permanent marker on the footpad.

Bit of an annoyance when I move country and have to black-out the old cell number, but hey-ho....

Never understood why sooo many board are listed as "Lost", when a simple marking would probably return a good percentage of them...

I sharpied mine on. Still there but it my board was lost/stolen I would rather something more permanent, but then when it comes to selling no one wants a board with my name etched into it.

I also ride bindings so when I lose my board I will be missing my feet too, I'm sure someone would hand in a board with torn limbs connected to the police

Yep spot on it is not only boards that can be lost at sea.
Three kites floated of into the darkness during one late session of carnage at Pinnaroo a few years ago.

Really big zip tie, bout 10mm wide and an engraver, will last as long as the board.

There are companies like anti-g that you can get custom boards that you can put your name/details on ie. my avitar or the one below, not a bad ride either!

I put my name & no. on my board once but then had to remove it.
Everytime I left it on the beach while I kitted up I would end up getting spammed by lonely Swedish backpacking chicks and others wanting to hook up for a night.
Became a real nuisance.
