Thumbs Up

Having just done my lessons a few weeks back, I was still struggling with getting up on the board and being able to ride, just not getting the combo of all elements right.

I had been told safety bay just east of the pond would be a good place to get some practice in as there isn't big chop like pinaroo.

A few mates and I headed down on Sunday early morning when that strong easterly was on, I managed to get up and ride consistently after a few failed attempts. But I think i would get too much speed and get speed wobbles and then wipe out, I think I just need to remember to cut a bit upwind instead of pointing down wind after i get up and going, so I dont go super fast ?

I had a 8M and 10M to pick from but felt the winds were a bit strong especially with the gusts for the 10 meter, so I headed out with the 8, seemed to do me well, wasn't ideal conditions I guess, I was all ways having to adjust the trim straps.

But all in all any practice is good in my books as I need as much as I can get.

Here is a few pics, including some of a local that came down busting out all kinds of tricks, some thing I am wanting to be able to do in the near future ? :D
