great first effort - like your title intro

a few tips to make it even better:

1.deinterlace the movie or shoot progressive if you have the ability in camera - computer monitors hate interlacing - my eyes feel like they have been through a cheese grater.

2.Upload a larger file to youtube - that will bump up the picture quality alot. Youtube actually does a pretty good job these days. The final file size / download time will be the same.

3.Try and use the tripod more - there are some really shakey shots in there.

4.shorter and snappier is better - cut out the just kiting around stuff.

try and get some sound happening.

There is no such thing as a perfect movie (unless you look at Andy Gordon's stuff - and even he would always find ways to do it better in retrospect) - which is what makes movie making such a fascinating craft.

These are all mistakes i have made in the past...

Great movie, really nice editing, very enjoyable to watch!

Can you tell us what you used for the camera and editing software?

Did you use a codec to compress the file before uploading to Youtube? This might be where the interlacing (horizontal cheesegrater effect) came from. I would try something different, might give a better result. I usually use DivX for the compression before uploading to Youtube.

Nice effort mate.
Agree on the de-interlace comment, but that is easy to fix.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, some really good advice, too.

I was wondering how to get rid of the interlace stuff.

The editing made a big difference as the filming was pretty crap to begin with, so this season hopefully gonna improve the camera work and the editing and hopefully the riding.

Might PM a couple of you to get some more detail on how to iron things out though.

For those that asked I just used the I movie software on a MAC for the editing. I just tried to be inventive with the features i used.
I filmed it with a Sony Handycam DCRSR82 HHD.
Did not use Codec on upload to You tube.

Thanks again for the positive feedback, appreciated.
