Hey Gang,

Anyone using a foilboard and do you know who may sell them here in Australia?

I'm keen to have a try or get into but if they are stratosphere pricing might not be a cheap experiment.

cheers,

Robbie

the Taaroa Sword Hydrofoil is the state of the art foil. Expensive but worth it. Heineken, Lake, Keneur, Nocher.. all the top guys riding them.

We are importing the hydrofoils to Australia. The first 5 are on their way but already all sold. The waiting lists are getting bigger.

Temavento and Taaroa have teamed up and designed a specific board for the Sword.
We should have one in Australia in few days so i will give you some feedback after riding it :)

in the next 2-4 weeks there will be a Sword with TMV Sword board in Townsville, Melbourne, Perth and 2 in Sydney.

check them out when they are at a beach close to you.

if you want something cheap than there is a bunch of carafino and few zeeko foils kicking around on seabreeze. They are cheap but also very slow.

foil and weed are a lot worst than 40cm raceboard fins and weed.

If the Zeeko Makaira was slow I don't think Nicolas Caillou would be leading the French speed crossing championship..... Have you ever tried them?

I tried the Zeeko Foil

Got it going, and went faster and faster uncontrollably until I jumped off as I was well overpowered. Seemed pretty quick to me! But Johnny and co do seem to be going incredibly quickly on that Sword!

Foils ... See:

Yes, foils are fast, very fast. But on a windy day with a 3m swell I am convinced you'd be swimming more than foiling, #just saying...

As for the weed, dont believe everything you read on the Forums #gamesmanship ;-))
