I don't snowkite but i do landboard.

I was landboarding over sanddunes on sunday. Man i got pulverised. But shuit its fun. terrain flying is sooooo cool. you can double up undulations and launch and glide in silly light winds.

the wind window does crazy things up and down hills. its definately a different level compared to flat water kiting. real lumpy seas compare a little bit but you don't get the same lift a slope provides.

when you start gliding backwards upwind it just feels real crazy.

i say do it of you get a chance.

Is there much/any difference between ocean kites and land/snow kites?

That was great

And that dude hitting the water over and over has to be the definition of persistence.
I wonder if he made it in the end?

nope, u can get foil kites for land/snow, but inflatables fly nicer, thats what i use, as u can see in the movie above, everyone is using a normal 'water' kite
