Wow, the wind has been soooooo good! I subscribed in may to the wind alert service you can get from Seabreeze via SMS for the Northern Beaches anything over 16knots from NNE to SSE and still have not received one message! hahaha I think seabreeze must be making a killing on this service

the northern beaches is like a black hole for wind. I used to live there and it was very frustrating, seeing green arrows everywhere but in my own backyard. Its been 20knots the last 2 days just up the coast where I live, and similar around botany bay.Time to move me thinks. It's a shame because the northern beaches is by far the best part of sydney

here you go. You don't have to move as far a newcastle, the central coast gets just as strong.

this is a rare event in newcastle particularly in a la nina year ,Last summer started out well but went pear shaped after christmas only delivering a day or two each week if we were lucky for the rest of summer .the two years prior were la nina and pus .early 2000's drought and elnino was sublime .i remember we had 90 days in a row of kiteable wind in one of em .
Lots of thunderstorm activity at the moment too .guys were rolling up yesterday and got smashed by the wind gusts and a short while later nuttin.saw em pumpin up one minute and walking back in a short while later ,hopes dashed .it really is Johnny on the spot kiting .
Stockton was weird earlier in the day .Right on the beach at times nuttin and 50 m out pumpin.it would push in and out all arvo

if you are on the northern beaches there is wind but it is high .It is like that here when it gets a bit mor northerly as the seabreeze progresses through the day.Try 30 m lines

I'm moving but a bit further, going to WA for the summer
Hey Mr Float in the end I did not get to snowkite as the wind was not so good and the snow at the end of the season on the range was crap!!

Apparently it's super cold down there at the moment? Maybe thats why... We've had an awful season up here in Brissy too

I think the NWly up the valley also has an influance on the Ne in Newcastle

As we have seen so many times in the past nobys get a light NE that never really kicks in while the further south you go towards Nora Head it can be nice and contsant

Yesterday a little further south it was a better than nobys by the sound of it

But it is heating up for the first time this week and it looks better, But the storm activity will make it a bit hit and miss
