Nice , but i don't think the Trip is the height of kite evolution.
IMO , it's these three, neither of which i own, maybe next season:

Best Wave kite- Ozone Reo
Best C kite- Naish Torch
Best Hybrid- Slingshot RPM

... it was more the fact that going from 9 struts to 0 struts appears to be where designers are going now a days, and how crazy does aspect ratio of 10 look!

ps the Reo looks like Nate Johnston's 'New' Alibi kites, wide tips, he was ahead of his time I think.

Both those kites hardly look similar in real life. Not to mention that "New" design isn't actually that old anyway.

p.s. You can say that a lot of kites look similar, but usually none of them really fly the same.

I rode the Alibi for 2 season, (11 & 8) I thought quite highly of them.

The Alibi was an awesome frestyle and wake kite.

I didnt rate it as a wake kite- but thats just me.

I'll tell you something for nothing, that 8m Alibi, in 30knot winds would booooooooost you to the moon and back, that thing was a speedie little rocket. Good memories on that kite.

My only regret was not flying it 4 lines, 5 line kites just cause trouble.
But thats a discussion for another day.
