Basically meant to ride like a snowboard but on the water, superflexy. Meant for rails but looks like a lot of fun in the flat (which I ride in). Obviously wouldn't become my main board, looks like fun to ride though.
Here is some video to watch- Shaun Murray from Counterfeit this (watch 3:43-3:53)
saw a bloke ride a similar one at cable. i think it is specifically for sliders, he was doing awesome nose and tail presses with it, but never any tricks on the flat.
looks like fun, and i think it would go upwind no problem, but would be easy to catch an edge in the tiniest chop.
if i wasn't out for this season i would get one for $150
Too sweeten the deal I saw one for 155$ (US) but comes with a free 256 MB Liquid tunes player Tempted.
I saw one of these at the Brissy boat show... they are basically just a snow board that you use on water... well thats what it looked like.
It's funny when people post ^^^^ and just restate somethiing thaat has already been said in the first post just because they want something to do.
I asked my son about this board and he reckons "It's sick for sliders and presses and ****..." he said he never did any tricks on the water with it though.
Dave.
Spacey, just double check the postage before you commit. Speaking from experience postage from the U.S. for a board is in the vicinity of $250 - $300 U.S. so what looks like a good deal......
Oh and when I mean confirm, get a quote from somebody working within the store/shop. Don't go off of the online quotation if there is one.
Ok so I manned up and bought one of these babies off ebay. Took it out yesterday, was really light. Upwind is no worries at all, fells quite locked in just riding around. When you release the edge and muck around though it is soo loose. Really fun just to play around with. Will post some pics and maybe vid if I get a chance.
Would be PERFECT for rails.
