i thought i better check out what everyone was talking bout,...,.,.
That was SiCk.. Imagine a vid,40minof that with all different riders waves, sliders and freestyle>...That was so different.. But so catchy ..
I watched 3 times.
No-one could probably believe that you could actually do that amazing editing on your home computer, still need that creative brain though....awesome.
Where was that spot down south that was a LOT flatter than woodies
Yeh yeh yeh, worlds top pro, ,a bunch of pro camera gear , top notch editing software, one of the best wave locations on the planet and NO WAVE RIDING ??????????
a bunch of nobodies from nowhere are doing stuff like this with a $300 camera,....
au_rick i seem to have missed your point... can you explain what u where trying to say by linking to that?
Wheres your surfboard at the cut rick?
you want to see aaron in waves search south africa. Breaking down moves like andy did might help your backspins to turn into better moves at the "spot flatter than woodies"
Hey Andy do you guys intend on releasing any sort of feature from the safety bay Kitejam? Cheers Sci
I just gave up my daily 20 minutes YouPorn allocation to watch that.
Was it worth it?
Hell yeah and I still got a hard on anyway.
wow. Wow. WOW! Beautiful, beautiful work.
If this Andy bloke isn't doing this full time and getting paid well for it within a year there's something seriously wrong with this world.
HI Andy !
That is the Sickest Video ever !!! Just out of interest what editing Suite you use ????
Just stared using the new final cut studio !!!
Scott
Hey Gkram, are you gonna forward the link of Andy's work to your film friends?
I agree with the masses that Andy should be given an opportunity in the film industry... Imagine what he could do with a big budget and film crew.
Dunno what you do for a day job Andy, but you're needed in Hollywood!
cheers
Dont tell anyone.. Rick, Lance and the rest of the crew dont want another woodies on their hands
Those silos by the dunes better not give it away
Hey Andy you have done an awesome job. Anyone who has tried to edit video will appreciate how much work you have put in, well done. Definitely one of the best sports edits I have seen. As for Rick, that looked like it was done with a $300 camera, got 2 seconds in and wanted them back.
What program did you use Andy to edit, was it Vegas or Premiere? Or another one?
Again, well done.
Bowski
Fantastic video. I particularly like the section at Margaret River. It was fantastic to see Aaron do a big loopy handpass thing and land neatly on the face of the swell.
The flat water parts are better than most instructional videos. You can really see how Aaron sets up each move.
Two things. I have a number of videos from other sports that start off really well then just run out of steam about 20 minutes in. You then have 20-40 minutes of boringness to finish out the video. I hope the finished version of In*Vent avoids that.
If you can stick to a groove-based sound track or have an alternate sound track. Its a bit of a turn off having yet another grungy thrash noise sound track (also avoid the obligatory ska humourous track.)
Well you can't please everyone. The hits on the Tool riffs work. I was struggling to find something for that section. At least the singer can actually sing. I wouldn't describe Tool as grungy thrash noise, they are a bunch of musos, but if you don't like their style, well you're not going to like it.
Finished version? That's it mate. It's an 8 minute stand alone video, it's not a trailer for something else. That's pretty much all the best shots I had from 3 sessions, there was only a few moves I left out. Making it longer would be padding.
Software wise Vegas, after effects, photoshop. As for Kitejam. I'm having a look at the footage but to be honest I don't think there's enough to do something with... it would be kiting to music with nothing else, I don't really like that kind of video
