I fail to see what is so great about that. Nothing high tech about the way they hot knife the edges of the cloth or stick them together all losely folded on a little bench.

Sure it looks like a nice factory and good conditions but what a kn total pimp of a post.
Its true I cant see anything outstanding myself, I think we should see how chinese s.....s make Cabrinha, Best and the like, perhaps than we would understand the point of this video and why failure rate of CORE kites and bars is close to ZERO while Cab and Best is substantial to put it nicely.
For example I witnessed 2 Cab split in half in average wind and I did split myself Best in hardly any wind at all.
Cab and BEST are the powerehouses in marketing, they should use such common facts and advertise their kites as 2 for the price of 1.
Aside from the commercial aspect;
As a trimmer with some sailmaking experience & product designer, I thoroughly enjoyed that vid.
I love knowing how things work/are made.
So many hands to make the kites we ride. It's understandable why it is simply not viable to manufacture Kites in Australia.
Sick video - I wanna see the chinese folding technique they use to fold the kites up before they go into plastic and get shipped off - I reckon most kites never get packed down that small ever again!
Imagine running the bars out (As the core bars need to be threaded through a ring - not just larks headed) Think of the blisters and callouses those guys would have...
Imagine sitting behind that bladder melting machine - with the fumes all day from melted latex (or whatever they make them out of)...
A lot of work there - great to see how it's all made...
