We had 5 days in Aitutaki and kited for three. The wind ranged from 12-20 knots, so a 10m and 12m would be good. In the video i'm on a 12m (I am 73KG) and Lilly is on a 10m..
Hi Kernow and Lili,
what a great video and location! Thanks for uploading!
My partner and I are just planning exactly the same for next month, a relaxed 1 week getaway with kiting and sun. Can you recommend any accomodation etc in Aitutaki, cheap way of getting there? Do you need a boat ride to these sandbars or can you start from the beach?
Cheers
Chico (MELB)
Hi, we stayed at the Inano beach on Aitutaki, 5 min drive from the airport. If you book in advance they will come and pick you up. The accom is very good, clean and not expensive. They have a kitchen in every house, would reccommend you take some food with you, pasta rice etc as food is hard to come by on the island, unless you plan to eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

To get to the spot in the video, you have to take a 20 min boat out to the island. Inano can organise this for you, its $45 a day, but well worth it, the smoothest flattest place you'll every kite, def worth factoring into your budget, if your not sure check out the video again. We went there three out of the five days, then snorkling and relaxing for the rest... enjoy!
Kernowkiter, you are a star.
Just booked flights to Aitutaki! So stoked. Thanks for the inspiration.

Chico, we stayed in Gina's garden cottages which are at the other end of the island, she also has some cottages on one of the near by islands that allow you to be by your self as well as you can kite directly from the beach in front of the accommodation, be aware that it's getting close to the end of the windy season now. PM me if you want some photos of the accom or just google 'Gina's Aitutaki'
Man I have watched this video like 20 times now. Beautiful work!
I have even a copy on my desktop at work when i am getting stressed out and I imagine sailing with you guys makes the whole day better.
Thanks for posting it up.
