Hi All,

Avid beginner to the sport - wish I started sooner.

Just got back from a work trip to Tokyo and searched for a connection so I could Kite surf on the weekend. Thankfully an overseas forum put me in touch with Daisuke Kaneko. He owns a Kite shop and a beach house on Kujukuri beach (2 hours outside of Tokyo).

Being a beginner to the sport I booked a lesson and Daisuke took me into the small surf for the first time. He was happy to rent me everything including a thick wetsuit. I thought the sport was great on flat water - in the surf is a whole new dimension.

If you are stuck in Tokyo over the weekend I would definitely recommend getting out to Kujukuri Beach. Work trips now have a whole new meaning.

Cheers,
Chris
