As anyone who lives on the mid north coast knows. we have had a pretty crappy summer.. Anyway a little relief was had this week with some gusty frontal easterlies.. so i made the most of it at 5 of our local spots.. here's some footage.

Oh my.. I just saw the punishing Marcus got for his video. so i would like to apologise in advance for the poor picture quality. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get better quality out of my Olympus tough I would be stoked to hear it..

I think you can relax about the quality Milko - Looks great! Nice 'natural' fade out at the end!

Cheers for posting. I always like seeing different spots I have never been to. Same goes for Marcus who copped a flogging for no good reason (but they do love to stir)

Anyway am interested in the camera set up.

You mentioned the Olympus tough.

What cam rig do you you use on the kite?

How long do you get on video?

Apologies in advance if you answered this in previous threads and i've missed

Great stuff-enjoyed that-good riding.

Care to share on how you have the camera rigged?

And the locale?

Thanks.

The cam rig is the one i bought right here on seabreeze..
www.seabreeze.com.au/Shop/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=27

The camera is the Olympus tough 8000.. you get about an hour and a half of footage with a 2 GB XD card which is as big as they come with XD.. SD is far better. I know the new Olympus camera due out in a few weeks is HD and comes with a new memory card with high capacity (32GB) so if your in the market for a camera i would wait for this one.. but you can also use the Pentax w series or the Panasonic lumix.. anyway its all in the link above..

Mate great "vid", liked that one better than the previous. I'm green with envy too bad the work thing got in the way when the wind was on. Hopefully we will get more easterlies over the weekend.

Another great video. Good to see some decent - (What do you call it when the water goes up and down? - That's right, I remember) - Surf! You looked like you were doing justice to it! Keep them coming.

Just thinking how lucky you were to score the right combination of wind and waves to see these spots actually fire, be it only marginally. Locals have commented that has been several years since the last event. A quick heads up that the minature east coast terns have been spotted nesting by the National Parks and Wild-life around both the spit and one mile. Looks like we may have to give both a miss until they leave.
Constant winds,
Baz.
