Hi Jimmy, Myles was flying my Ozone Edge (7m) with standard 27m lines. The wind picked up as the day progressed and I have a set of 15m lines which would have been better for the conditions but it was getting late and no time to change.

Glad everyone enjoys the movie. Lots of fun making it.

Excellent - this is what kiting is about...going out really powered and hucking big fun stuff, most of which you haven't got a chance of landing.

Mr Green Ozone; I bet you have never been cleaner!

That was Awesome good work KIT33R. Are you the older bloke who rides the Nem HP?. That stuf was gutsy, specially since the rock groyn was only about 20m from a few of the landings

KIT33R is Graeme Snowden, the gutsy kiter who shattered his healbone at the same location where he made this film.
Lex123 the bloke you are referring to is a local KKK kiter who spends hour upon hour on the water at that location when there is wind is on. He knows every square inch of the water between the two groynes. Very capable kiter, jumps extremly high.

Great vid Gra, no doubt about it though, Myles is the real king of the air,you bread a genuine rubber man mate. Wish I was 18 again like your youngbloke. Being an old fat bloke is a real downer when it comes to kite gymnastics.

I wish I could kite as well as him. But as Col says I'm having a break from the water for a few months. I've also got a few more movies to keep you all entertained which I'm currently loading up. Stay tuned.

Thanks Geoff. I'm already driving my wife crazy. At least I've got time now to get all those old photos into albums and sort out my CD collection. Can't wait

Graeme, just curious - what gear are you using to edit and create the movies?

I've got a pretty standard Panasonic video camera with 30x zoom which helps a lot. I was lucky to pick up a very good tripod a while back. A big Miller with a hydrolic head. Very smooth action. It weighs about 15 kgs and is rock solid even in 30 knots. This is absolutely essential to follow the action when you're using a zoom

I use ArcSoft Showbiz to load and edit the tapes. It's pretty basic I'm afraid but I'll need to spend big bucks to get anything better and more memory in the computer. I have an extensive library of audio tracks. You need punchy modern stuff for kite movies. I can use a few more visual effects with Showbiz but it's not necessary - people just want action. The guy (I forget his name) from WA produces some really amazing kite movies but I think he's professional. If you've seen the Hadlow movie from WA you'll know what I mean.

I'll post a new topic for the next movie "Night Moves" from 2007 Aust Nationals shortly. Look for this one, it has some good shooting angles.

right on hoskoau - i'm back into using (banging my head against the wall) final cut after watching this.

Was thinking that maybe we should organise an end of season video comp or something - just a short vid to showcase our local spots and who's doing what...

I get annoyed when I haven't used it for ages. I use Avid at work which is very different it takes a little getting use to the way it works.
