Insane kiting.....I have just visited Cape Town and i hired a 7m Cabrinha crossbow and went out at Blouberg beach ...the video is of this bay. The winds were 35knts +....I got smashed by huge walls of white water , big air..... Did it for one hour then i thought i my life might be in danger ....So I finished.

Wow Lenton is brilliant.

Cape Town is a fantastic city and pretty safe if you do the right thing. (unlike Johanessberg). Cost of living is cheap for us as 7 rand to the dollar. Worth a visit.

*sniff *sniff

why coreyb why?

that use to be my local spot! brings back A LOT of good memories...Big Bay, Dolphin beach, Blouberg, Sunset Beach .... +30km of insane coastline to kite!
And WAVES!

but thanks man. good clip. Reuben Lenton always use to come down the same time as Hadlow and Kevin Langaree. You would be out riding and these guys come out and start doing moves you don't even know what to name, so you just go back in, land the kite, sit....
and WATCH!

cheers mate!

sweeet!!!

imagine droppin ya nuts and chickenin out in the middle of that loop... 20m drop with a fully powered kite in 40 knots = big slaps!!!!!

Len10 has that fully powered style which is mean... AND he can jump too... which brings a smile to anyone who remmebers the good old days in 01 and 02 when big air was king.

Now when is that Dutch boy comin to NZ?

cape town is so un believable windy its actually hard to describe. if you didnt kite or windsurf it would be a terrible place to live.

i would be kiting on my 8.5 completely powered and almost out of control and ruben would rock up and kite on his 11. often we would go home at 3pm because it was just to windy.

yeah that kite looks damn big considering all that crazy spray every where....

hey that's wicked the clip has stopped with him level with his kite and he's hovering above TM (table mountain).

there's a downloadable version in kitescinema-news...
What a sick vid...
Aaron is the king of wakestyle, and Ruben is the king of freestyle.
Those loops where he has to pendulum the kite in the other direction on landing to slow down are nuts, the spinning of the bar mid air classy, and the speed and height is just downright ballsy..
Endo K-L's are a season away....
