Starting to look pretty severe. Been planning a trip down to port lincoln for next week all year but might end up stuck here

You might get lucky and get stuck there with some swell.

Hey Robbie,
My son and his mate having a bit of fun down here as well. both can kite but prefer pole dancing.

Couldn't bare it any longer I had to get out in it myself.

First pic is our play ground about k off shore hence quality not to good.
Nearly mast high in some sets.
Other 2 are in closer.

Ian

Pretty sure you won't get the right wind direction unless it passes exmouth out to sea. Whats your thoughts Scotty.

yeh you can't beet a southerly swell and a seabreeze but I can always dream of the perfect session. Mind you town beach on that sort of swell can still be fun. Even if it goes past close out to sea it's still pretty average and difficult but does get the adrenaline going

Hey Ian,

Wow, they look pretty big! What gear did you use?

Swell sorta hit Darwin and only explaination for swell was Cyclone Narelle. Usually we need a few days of monsoon to generate the waves and yet we had some, thanks Narelle, now look after our western brothers please!!!!

Lots of fun yesterday and boy was riding strapless in bigger waves was really humbling experience. I haven't fallen off that many times in years. Bounce, bounce, eject, fall, bugga!

And not having a leash makes it worse, had to go all the way back into beach to recover board once as wave caught it and rode away.

Another thing I found was going out over the bigger steep sections, I went too fast and would launch off the wave and board would eject me quick smart. Still, lots of fun and was just getting the hang of it near the end of the session, just got to remember not to approach wave fast like I did when on a twin tip.

cheers for now,

Robbie

ps 4m croc hanging around the day before, hopefully waves will scare him/her off. Hopefully my camera got the photo, when I get more time I'll post a pic.

Hey Ian,
Wow, they look pretty big! What gear did you use?

ps 4m croc hanging around the day before.

Started on Lithium 8m and 5' 11' converse. It got a bit crazy so I change down to 6m Lithium

I thought you would take advantage and use the croc as a mobile slider

You would think my son would come in and take a few pic's of dear old dad. (dream on)
