A while back there was some discussion about wanting a DIY board building sub-forum. It didn't seem to get up because of reasonable concerns that it would get lost among all the great stuff already on Seabeeze.
As a keen DIY Board Builder I reckon its worth a shot and so I've set up a new kiteboard builders forum on my site at
www.boardbuilders.co
Just click on 'Forum' on the right hand side and sign up. There is already a couple of great projects up there.
There are a couple of freshly minted sub-forums ready go:
i) 'Board Projects' - start up a thread here and use it to show off progress on your own board projects
ii) 'Equipment Projects' - DIY board building equipment projects like vacuum pumps, presses, rocker tables and heat blankets...
iii) 'Idea Exchange' - the general Q&A forum
iv) 'Makers exchange' - find a supplier, sell your surplus materials or your projects or swap them for something else.
The forum just kicked off just last week so to build it into a great resource we need you to post your projects, share your how to's, ask your questions, answer someone else's and then do it again!
Its early days with the forum and we're keen to shape it into something special so jump on board early and be part of the ride
Checkout some of the cool board projects that have already been posted at www.boardbuilders.co/p/forum.html
10 to go !
Bring it on Especially keen to see photos of it as a work in progress so we can see the nitty gritty of what you do, don't do, what works, what doesn't ...
Here is one I made a while back have improve a lot since then the latest one someone else liked it better than me. Don't have any construction photos but it is basically vacuum bagged divinicell foam core.
Great looking board! Good work! What did you use for the paint job? How did it ride?
Are you thinking of making another one? Would be awesome to watch the next one take shape :)
What's the difference between Home Made and Hand Made? The difference is that Hand Made boards are hand made with big machines that were made by hand too !!!
Mirsad is a long standing friend of my blog but has taken it to another level. If you need any inspiration for making your own boards then check out the construction pictures at the bottom of this page. He and his crew made and make everything you see!!

I have 2 more on the go at the moment a mutant and twin tip, the last one went great a little bit heavy but that seemed to suit where I ride. It is painted with 2 pak will post some photos as the next 2 progress.
Whoa hoo! Check out Kev's first effort - plywood, kevlar and carbon!
