Unquestionably a disgrace.

Little off topic, but the word has been mentioned a few times here.

^ it usually happens once a year on the first hot day of the season.

I could not believe it but I recall the same thing happening almost exactly 2 years ago. I checked a pic I had from the time and only 1 day difference in date. Check the pic below.

Hot day, big swell and "meat head convention". Looks as if the convention gets worse each year.

Im over the councils targeting kitesurfers who actually respect the beach, FFS spend the dollars on keeping the trash out!

Wow, this is very sad, not to condone violence, but someone needs to give these guys a firm kick in the head.

At my beach this Saturday we had sausage sizzle and 25 knotts......and picked up after ourselves.

Looks like you need to net the sharks in for a while to cull the bogan population. Or do what Queensland councils did. Ban people Drinking and Smoking on the beach and it will reduce the wank factor. If this fails just add more sharks

And most of the knobs whant the council to put shark nets up.

Banning smoking on the beach would be the best thing ever.

A few did get their heads kicked in, apparently they were all teenagers coming in from all over Perth, no doubt many with a 6 pack bought by mummy or daddy, mostly because they think little Billy, who just turned 15 already has the social skills to drink responsibly...

Solution 1 = Take the little turds (who discarded that garbage) over to Carnac Island and drop 'em off .... if the blind Tiger Snakes there don't get 'em then when they go swim off back the mainland , Mr Whitey , and his seemingly numerous mates , will!

Walked on the beach 5:30am Sunday and see two fu$%wit bogans drinking and smoking, great start to the morning....couple of empty cartons next to them. Ona better note, got to use the gopro for the first time on the board. Couple of bomb sets around.

Well said 'default'!

I've read right through this thread - what stands out? Kiters CARE about our beaches and oceans. Look at the time people have taken to comment on this. I hope someone (who actually cares) from the council reads this and sees the responsibility, care and passion - versus those beach visitors who obviously don't give a damn!

I wonder how many visitors to the beach will end up with glass (or worse) stuck in their foot after this dismal show of humanity at the weekend! Councils, are the beaches not for all? There must be a way of preventing this from escalating, which, I guess it inevitably will if left to fester.

I feel for the lifeguards whose job it was to save these specimens from a lemming's fate at the hands of a large swell. Apparently some 'swimmers' were running back into the ocean as fast as the lifeguards could drag them out! I noticed footage of one poor lifeguard on the news with a lower leg injury of some kind, poor guy.

Credit to you forum members who actually do care about our beautiful environment.
