Hey guys,
Here is a little video I made up from a earlier this month when we had one of our first seabreezes. We had heaps of swell so I was able to kite out to the points at Noosa which is usually flat with these conditions. The footage is of Tea Tree Bay and the river mouth
Nice one dude, looks like a pretty cool spot! That onshore waveriding can be alot harder than it looks. I love your board by the way, what is it? looks like a nice small wave punter.
p.s. like the air.
Nice vid, from someone that doesn't like the surfboard style. Made it look fun.
P.S No more MGMT soundtracks
nice vid......Thats the day I broke my finger
the first day of some pretty consistent wind which you can all thank me for!
Board is a little 5'5 epoxy fish. It's pretty sick but it's gets super bouncy in chop sometimes. Perfect for waves like that. Your right about the onshore waveriding too. Your constantly moving your kite and it's so hard to have it in the right spot. Pretty sketchy there as well cause that headland starts to kill the wind when you get in close to the beach.

Nice vid! Just a hint though, if you post videos of good spots, the 500,000 French and Spanish kitesurfers in Sydney may show up next time it's windy! Can't wait til next time I surf the point at 4 foot; shortboards, longboards, boogeyboards, goat boats, kitesurfers, inflatable mat riders, SUP's, and probably 10-20 bodysurfers too :-)
nice work, in a really sketchy spot to kite. the wind does some crazy **** in there and there's nowhere to put your kite down if things go wrong.
did you have any geriatric longboarders yelling at you to get off their break?
Cant really see anyone else kiting there. It probably works like that only a few times a year as there is never really swell when we get northerlies. Getting out there is a mission upwind trek from the rivermouth which is where you can see the kites in the distance at the beginning of the vid if you look real close. Once your there, there's the rocks, the headland, the onshore wind which gets lighter the further you go in and a tiny beach that provides a little bit of safety. And don't forget the big long tacks back out after each wave you get.
Can't exactly say that Noosa is a very secret spot that doesn't get crowded either.
Didn't really get hassled cause I tried to stay away from them mostly and wasn't that many people out.
