apart from colour, logo stamped on the heels and the price tag, is there any functional difference between these and a standard set of Ronix Franks from a wake store??

Can some one expalin why you would go laces:

instead of the easier to set up Velcro?:

i got LF Cradles (Velcro) only reason I would think laces would be more betterer is you could get a tighter fit. Velcro straps don't seem to be that adjustable but providing you get the right size boot you should be able to get them tight enough to fit proper. my boots are a tad big for me and so cant get them tight enough for a snug fit.

You can get a tighter fit with laces also after a while the Velcro loses a bit of stick and when riding in chop the spray can peel straps open
That is why I chose laces over Velcro

I hate Velcro boots for the above reasons, also they actually take longer to do up properly than 2 laces...
North boots are a scam, overpriced euroness. Look online and you will find the premium ronix boots like cells and ones at a far better price.

Velcro are crap.. Went thru 3 pairs of LF vantage in one season.
They don't pull down enough so I was always getting heal lift.
So I would adjust them super tight and they kept tearing.

Laces are hugely superior! But only dual lace set ups, single lace = crap

Rowdy said it. Go direct with Ronix. You can pick up 2012 collection for half the price. I prefer laces to lock down my flipper like feet! Velcro just doesn't tighten up enough for me.

I had LF cradles and the Velcro became useless after one season. Ill never use Velcro again. I am using the ronix franks on my wakeboard. Super happy with them, only complaint is the cleat on the top laces slowly comes loose and needs retightning occasionally. Otherwise they are awesome.

I use 2011 ronix cells. Never had any dramas with the laces, it's probably easier to do up than velcro - 2 pulls, push the slider down, one clip in at the top to tidy away top handle (x2 of course) and you're off. It's not like having to do up shoe laces

What about liquid force bindings? Used them on my wakeboard, just wondering how they would go on a kiteboard.
