Been riding Rebels for the last three years and just swapped over to the Evo last week. Ive had a few kites on the 12m over the last week, mainly in 15-20knots.

the main things i have noticed between the two is the Evo looks a lot smaller on the end of your lines than the rebel and as such i felt a lot more comfortable throwing it around. Looping seemed to be easier and a quick down loop transition lacked a bit of power compare to the pull on the Rebel.

Bar pressure is compatible as is the upwind ability. I think I'm boosting as high as i did with the rebel but found i was putting a little more into the jump, making sure that i got that extra pop, where as the rebel just needed to be sent to 1'oclock and it was on.

The main difference was during a short session in some small waves I found going down the line the Evo would just sit in the sky and drift back which was really nice, with the rebel I would have had to move it around a bit to keep it from falling.

Overall really happy with both kites and looking forward to a few more windy sessions on the Evo

Good observations man. Aspect ratio is your answer by the way.

I got a North Neo instead :) :) :)

Did a downwinder at Merimbula on a 9m NEO and new pro series board.

The NEO is one hell of an underrated kite.
Little ball of muscle, so much grunt, stability and turn speed is nuts.

Word on the street is a lot of the NORTH pro team ride it in waves.

the EVO is a lot lower aspect (as EPPO said)
thus leading to the better stability if stalled.

When powered it turns more then fast enough, great for park and rip kind of surfing.

Its such a tough one, but i think you'd be stoked with either the REBEL, EVO or NEO.

They are all slightly different, but as i've ridden all 3 this year, in similar conditions, i'd be happy with any.

happy days, enjoy

Word on the street is the number one wave rider in the world Won on the North Neo

"Airton Cozzolino is just 18-years-old but he is already the Kitesurf Wave World Champion 2012"

Just an ad, so if you don't like ads don't watch:

So i have one on its way and will give it a review. I bought a 10m, perhaps a metre too big but i have an 8m vegas already. I'm in vic so i'll be using it in 14-20, then swap to my Vegas in 20+

Yeah i know Keahi won something too. All a bit confusing, there must be a few comps or something cos in this vid they call Airton Cozzolino 2012 champ.

There were 4 events on the KSP world tour, Portugal, Ireland, Mauritius, and Hawaii.
Can't remember all of the results but I think Airton won in Mauritius and Keahi won in Hawaii.
Keahi was the overall champ.

1st Keahi/ Cabrinha
2nd Mitu/ F-One
3rd Airton/ North

I think Airton won it last year.
