This one is better from about 1:26 onwards. The scene where the guy comes past the road is ridiculous. These guys must have gonads the size of soccer balls.
Yes that video is awesome for showing how close to the surface the experienced guys can fly. The one I posted was made in the last several weeks, you can see the suits have advanced a bit more, and you have to wonder how long it will be before these guys achieve their dream of landing without a chute!!
The section in the one I posted where they fly through that very narrow pass - amazing. Here's another one from the same guys.

It looks like the wings on your video actually are dual skin like a foil kite to help give more lift. It would be interesting to see where they go and how much glide they can achieve.
I saw a video of these nutters once where one guy hit a bridge while the guy filming passed under it. You didn't see him hit, but you saw his body parts falling past the cameraman not long after. 
patrick de gayardon was the guy who started the "Birdman" resurgence there is some classic footage of him leaping out of pilatus porter at height with an original suit and then flying back close enough to the diving plane to duck back in the side door that was mid -late 90's and also doing the mountain descent runs RIP patrick
the first commercial suits were available from jari karusma and robert pecnik in slovakia i think ,the company was aptly named "birdman"
now there is truckload of manufacturers phantom etc some of the sites have published fall rates delay time etc
one of the first base jumpers to use one was a russian Yuri kurnetsov....?and a guy from reunion island Loic.jean albert....? cant remember their surnames
the guy on australian story "douggs" was in on the canyoning (flying down through a ravine and then off or around and along the side of the cliff) beginnings
smash and crash videos are fine when they are anonymous but when someone gets hurt /or dies they can be a bit tragic (more so when you know them!!)

nutters i think not!!
lots of people would say tying yourself to a kite and going backward and forward and up and down in strong winds in shallow water sometimes near fixed objects is a bit nutty too!!people outside sports always have the wofo (what for you do that )attitude
dwain weston was from bonny hills on the mid north coast and was one of the most influential base jumpers in the history of the sport. He was a long way from being a nutter quite the opposite very technical and also a talented surfer..

I don't mean to be disrespectful, the term 'nutters' was used loosely (and even a bit affectionately). I wouldn't mind having a go to tell the truth.
