These conditions would be a bit rough for comfortable boating.
Always plenty of space in the front yard for ya Bee man. Cant get anything to grow there cause of the excess sunshine and hot windy conditions.

It should be OK at the other front yard this arvo [}:)]

Hey Nate,

talk'n about s h i t conditions, threw the boat in the water yesterday 'cause the winds have been some what s h i t e, we always take the kite gear just incase.

Wind came up for a little go so I anchored up infront of one of our spots to give it a bash, the missus, Karl and I. Kited for a while when the girls (2 of my daughters) were getting a bit concerned because, where we anchored at the start of the session was close to the beach but by the end the tide came up, they were well out to sea (don't forget, we get 8m tides so the water races).

I decided to kite up to the boat, stopping on the duck board at the transom, put the board inside the boat and had a little chat to the girls while I had a beer. I then decided to pull the anchor and to take the boat in closer to shore.

I put the chicken loop around the tow point on the transom, then sat the kite on the water to let it drift to the side. I then pulled the anchor up.

The kite sat on the water but because it was pointing out to sea, we started to go further off shore. I pulled the back end around by sining the kite. Once the boat was in the right direction I sined away pulling the boat at about 2 knots comfortably trying not to put too much pressure on the lines. I was amazed at how good I cut across the wind with the kite pulling the back end of the boat.

Once close enough, I put the kite back on the edge of the water and dropped anchor again. One more beer and threw the board back on and took off for another kite little session. Girls happy again.

Almost a revers wakeboard! Anyway, enough blah blah from me!

cheers,

Robbie

ps fishing was s h i t, no fish, tides all wrong, snapped alot of gear off and saw a few sharks caught but nothing else, oh well next time.

Just got back from the islands its like floating on an aquarium no wind, no swell, no drift. Select your fish from the boat amongst the coral, drop bait and BAM hang on! Blue bone ,coral trout, dhuies . The 3.5m/ 250kg plus tiger shark lurking around the boat for several hours in 3m of water at sunset was something to respect. Yep the week ahead looks good with early knock offs.

you getting any waves n8. I see you have all the wind with not too much east in it so I presume it would be kitable. We don't even have enough to put a trainer up.

That wave would be fully ripable on a short board ^^

Nice moves Robbie. Happy girls, happy life

Scott yes we have waves. It is rarely flat. SE winds are great. The better angle for the Point and Oakas way.

What a great time of the year

Always better overcompensating in the surf than cleaning in the shed rowdy.

Sweeping the ocean, sweeping the shed... Sounds like about the same level of excitment to me.

Hey Nate,

Where were you yesterday??? We hit "The Spot" for a little fun in the waves and it was a nice way to break up the trip on the way home. Sweet waves! Funky wind.

DM The wind was pretty good where I was Charged some super long walls @ 5 then moved to the end of the reef and slung myself into some thumping bowls @ 6.

Looks like the wind has taken easter holidays too.
Well deserved.

Up super early tomorrow surfing with Frogman, then shooting fish for the rest of the flat spell.
