The main issue is pressure required to get the right shape.
The 07 Rebel is multi - and getting the struts pumped to pressure is a breeze. LE 8 psi strut 10 psi. It is easier wrapping up.
Most kites use one or more struts to hold a deeper camber and with one pump it feels as though the LE is about to burst before the strut shapes up - to get the strut shape it would be easier with higher PSI in the strut than the LE.
My youngster is practically doing a handstand on the pump to get 8 psi into his kite - he weights in at 54 kgs - He gets me to finish off - I weight 70kgs so do not want any higher pressure designs coming out - I cant handstand anymore

It's very thoughtful of Naish to supply a pacifier for when you are repairing and dicking around with their retarded one-pump inflation system. lol.
Fck it...
Slave, if valves are such a big issue, why not use Ram-air kites????
Also eliminates the need for carrying & maintaining a pump
Am I the only one that thinks Waveslave has an arrangement with this website to generate traffic/extra activity by posting topics to stir people up like this?
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
It's a good strategy
My 2centsif ya kites not leaking then its a good system no mater what you prefer.
Ive had all systems and one pump has been the easiest and ive never had to touch it.
there is sweet fanny adams difference between having 5 or 6 inflation and dump valves in a kite with a lot of seperate inflation points or a kite with 9 of the same and a couple of tubes added.
if an inflation point fails it needs to be fixed.
i don't get the whole point of this fantastic discussion.
whoops, forgot about the naish system!
"Dude, check out my new single-strut wavekite."
"Wow man, has it got one-pump?"
"Are you kidding me, dude? It's a goddamn single-strut kite."
"What if it was a two-strut kite, man. Would you want one-pump?"
"Is this a trick question, dude?"
"What about a three-strut kite, man. Would you want one-pump?"
"Dude, don't even ask me about a quad-strut kite, ok?"
