News just in...
Training for blues state of origin team was delayed this morning after a player found a white powdery substance on the ground. The coach suspended training and called the police. After analysis forensic experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most players was not a drug- it was the try line. Practice will resume today as police decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Channel 9 has asked them to throw the first game because no one in nsw is watching the game anymore,,,,unless they grew up in Qld.

Just went to the local pub in nsw for some take away,,,,,,,use to be packed out state of origin night a few years back.
Tonight 5 mins before the game, only 3 drunks in the whole pub,,,WTF
The S of O seems to have lost all interest in local nsw rural folk.
We get to watch it at 10:30pm tonight. Like, the kickoff.
eleventy seven channels of free to air, interminable Tour de france coverage, live AFL coverage every weekend on ABC local radio, and the one thing that I would actually like to watch is nowhere to be found.
Channel 9 even had the hide to say that it was 'live' in an ad I saw before switching it off in disgust.

20yrs in Queensland but still Blue!!!!! The place went quiet and I was the only bloke cheering 10min before full time, even though it didn't last long it was bitter sweet.
