Watch it there. Deadly rope around there. The sun was going down and we were kiting there and i couldn't see directly on the water and next thing i hit something and look back it was a VERY thick line of rope floating on the water. luckily it was rope and not something else. haha

BTW. Nice pic

I don't like kiting in front of denham, there is a lot of sharp shells there. we were 4 kiters, and all of us came back to the beach within an hour with cuts on our feet

Here is one for the fishermen

This customer was pretty happy with himself, this is a photo of a very rare catch for the Shark Bay area. It's the only one I caught in my time in Shark Bay. This guy was especially pleased because his hook up was the second one, the first hook up (while fishing for Snapper) was buy his girlfriend but it pulled the hooks.

Thats the tip of the Peron Penninsula in the background.

The shark researcher was a Canadian guy, Aaron I think, who was doing his PhD on predator prey interactions between sharks and dugongs when I was running the ops at Monkey Mia. I used to give him a hand setting and pulling set lines he had for sharks, drop them in, wait 3 hours and go see what we had. He never missed with the majority being tigers and the odd bronzey. Best one we ever had was a 4m tiger, massive bloody thing, we had to get it up next to the boat which was a 4.5m centre consol, measure sex and tag it then cut the hook. Used to be a bit of fun until the sharks would go nuts then it was a case of just get the frikken gear off the boat and go round and do it again.
All good fun...just didn't want to end up in the water....
