Nice background?!? The background doesnt change because I go out in the water, and it's not really worth it if the guys are pulling sick tricks 2 meters away from the shore..

If you go downwind you get dunes in the background or the jetty if you are clever.....

Yeah but I probably won't be able to go that far out in the water without a waterhouse for my camera and I don't have one:) I'm not exactly a photographer I just take pictures for fun so to buy alot of equipment, lenses, tripod, waterhouses, and so on is not really an option for me... I'm pretty happy with the ones I am doing though... And I'm not sure if the jetty would be such a great background? or the dunes for that matter but yeah I have thought of it to....... let's see what we can come up with this weekend!

Hey guys as Toby mentioned it's no where near as steep as it looks in that photo. Check out this picture I took which shows the realistic angle. Also we have just finished building an extra 2m section to the upramp to make it longer and mellower and still maintan the height.

Judge for yourself.

Burn that fken fence.
We need to moxy-up a groundie.
Bring it on Huey.
lol.

cus you have something to balance against cus it has more resistance with out being less slippery.
ok, its probably personal preference and yer most would find mellow better.

a steep slider u have to hit slower and make ur kite have a BBQ up at lunch, and the slower u go the more u have to concentrate on balancing. a mellow one u can mack at and have ur kite eating bacon and eggs cuz its breakfast time. and u dont gotta balance as much and u get over the thing quicker.

i think sliders should have steeper up sections as well.
they should also have tracks so that you do not come off half way.
and an escalator belt so that you dont need any speed thus loosing all chance of falling.
also sliders should be hit hooked in with kites at lunch so that if you do fall you can front roll on the way down for style and respect of your fellow c*&ks

Is that Congonese you're talking or what in hell language is that? And what has a slider got to do with your kite eating bacon, eggs or barbecues.

Dude, drugs are bad. O.K.

are u on drugs or were u born under a rock. bbq = lunchtime as thats when u usually have a bbq. lunchtime meaning 12.00 meaning ur kite is at 12.00 which means its right above u. im sure most people got wat it ment. breakfast = bout 9.00 when u would cook ur bacon and eggs so if ur kites at 9.00 it would be low. simple science.

We have been trying to get approval from the DPI (department for planning and infrastructure) over the last few days for the go ahead but i didn't leave them enough time for them to do the Safety Checks needed and inform the other water users so we wont be able to put any obstacles in the water this weekend.

I have sent a proposal for next weekend and I’ll post as soon as its cleared with a date if we get the go ahead, but are hoping to go for the 27th as some of the international riders will be on there travels home shortly after. As soon as I know I’ll let everyone know.

So it will just be free styling as usual this weekend, but a high level so still worth the trip perhaps.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused but we want to be covered and more importantly not jeopardize future events for anyone.

Fingers crossed for next week!

Here is some shots of the work on the sliders and kickers, our C rail is coming together, 7.5 mtrs long and will be not an ollie on, the start and end will be a ride on with an elevated mid section (like a C / Rainbow rail combo)

the kicker is coming together also, we've done lots more on it today and also done the boards for stencils for the A frame and kicker to pimp them out!

Thanks for all the support and sorry to have to postpone.

Cheers

Toby
