Cult 2008
1) Bring your kite down to 3 o'clock.
2) Grab the safety line and walk to your kite (Don't unhook your self in case you let go of your safety line)
3) Secure your kite.

Cult 2009
1) Convert it to a 5 liner.

I have a 2009 Cult and I'm using only 4 lines and its exactly like any other 4 liner for self landing.

(IF YOU KITE SURFING ALONE AND YOU ARE A BEGINNER YOU ARE RISKING YOUR LIFE, GO AND FIND A KITE BUDDY, im still searching for one)

Good wind

I had a 2008 Helix and I trade it for a 2009 cult.
2008 Helix was a perfect kite for start as they call it forgiving kite (Slow reaction)
The only bad thing was the weight of it, because of 7 struts and a very thick bladder which makes the kite extremely heavy in a low wind its almost impossible to water relaunch.

2009 cult have a very thin bladder which makes it lighter and its using the direct respond technology which makes it a very fast kite.
sigma kites have a very wide wind range and for example today when every one was standing at the Leighton beach waiting for wind I was kiting with my 12m cult (I'm 85kg, wind was about 10-12 knots).

I still would suggest a 2008 helix for beginners as it is a very safe way to start.
I never had a 2008 cult so I can not compare it with 2009 cult but it shouldn't be that different.

Cheers
Alex

so with the kite on the smart loop, i bring it down to 3, swap the leash from the smart loop to the top ring, pull in the top ring and walk toward my kite.

this will tension the top line but loosen the other three and in doing so will fold the kite down.
