Yea I went out today for a ses from 11 till 1 at trigg, it was nice gettin the 5 out for the first time fully depowered, i was surprised know one else was out apart from me n a mate. i thought with all the talk here there would of been a few out.
oh well awesome times guys waves were crazy and the wind you could of put a pillow case up and been fully lit!
hope tomorrows as good
Woodmans point, 7 M, at times fully depowered.
Four guys on the water, smiles and thumbs up all around. Pretty close to getting blown off the water just before sunset, thanks for the landing.
Winter kiting, what's not to like.
I was contemplating going out at cott reef watching 3 guys having heaps of fun on their 7m's and me only a 8m when suddenly one ended up on the groin kite shredded.
Got the courage up and ended up havin a ball on my 8M but just b4 sunset it got pretty hairy!!
Went out at Melville, with one other friendly guy on a torch 10. He was kind enough to come in to launch me. Thankyou!
Out on the 7 quite comfy, them a rain line came through and blew me away... Full sheet out and depowered and more or less staying in control blasting through the heavy rain. Unreal. Got a bit scared so didn't stay out too long and the same friendly guy landed me. He then took off on his 10 and scored some speccy jumps, crashes and boosts! I was impressed.
A short, but exhilarating session for a newbie to winter front kiting.
I'm not technologically skilled enough to post a screen shot but the BoM radar for south of Albany looks like a mini cyclone. pretty cool.
sneaked a session in between 50knot squalls, 7m lit, came in when the skys went black and the bar was 'tingling', could have been worse!
7m Neo, strapless Tues night good times, 5m Neo lit Wed morning strapped in, exciting. Looked ominous last night (no go) and saw a couple struggling, too light this morning. Awesome to go right yeow...
19 to 30, this arvo on 8m cat 2013 and a 2011 C4. Man it was gusty! Verdict. Ozone have Farqed up, that 2011 is a sweet kite. I reckon my bro was getting as high as he does on his edge and chucking loops in to boot. Reckon it boost better than the cat.
Anyhow I can't say it was pleasant, intense really.
Went to Woodies for a look this arvo, not my sort of day though - couldn't even manage to hold the camera still enough to get a sharp photo.
^^^^^^
Don't worry if the 2 UFO's aren't in sharp focus Hybrid....they never are but that's one of the nicest sunset / scenery / fat ugly ocean shots I've seen for a while...
Nice One!
Stuck with the using the **ty canon 75-300mm lens which hates movement and low light but this was about 5/5.30 a bit north of Ocean Reef.
Thats a tree stump about knee height completely covered by sand in the summer months. Was covered on Tuesday arvo..
