Good Times over my Spring Break in Florida! Chasing the wind most of the time with a good group of friends. Can't get much better then a week of that! Not quite as shaky as my last edit...
Here's what David and Margaret from the movie show had to say
David: Well I must say that i find the title puzzzling .there was a shot of sunset thrown in at the end but perhaps they could have incorporated more of the riding during sunrise and sunset to give the title more relevence .And speaking of the riding ,it just had a sameness about it .If they want to find some inspiration then I would suggest that the director looks at the work from Nerk .Now there is someone that really takes kitesurf films to the next level .2 stars from me .Margaret what about you ?
Margaret: (Laughing wheeze)Oh David your such a stuck up old sod .You really have it in for anyone who incorporates shaky hand held stuff don't you ,I've gotta say that this is a marked improvement in shakyness over their last film.And the riding .Ha I'd love to see you pulling those moves you old git .Look for me I'm willing to give this one 3 stars .they were obviously having fun and I enjoyed the funky music and I found the 3 minutes engaging .i agree that they really should have a look at Nerks stuff though to find some inspiration and get future efforts to 5 stars
Haven't watched the video yet but that review by Mr Float made me almost wet myself with out loud laughter, thanks a lot mr float for that funny sheeit!!!

Just a few things though, I live on the Gulf Coast of FL, which is a bath tub basically. As in no waves ever. Wind is considered a Rare thing here haha. Nerks video was prbly edited in Final Cut and shot on a bunch of different lens with a very nice DSLR. Great Editing too
My Video, An always fogging Gopro, edited on iMovie. Over two days. Still a blast to do, and no complaining to be mad
I hope to make a video like Nerks one day though, but hard to find the funds for the gear and then a person that will hold the camera to shoot it. And be able to use it. His video did get me stoked though on kiting
I'd have to agree with Margaret. Great effort. I'd be more than happy to pull some of those moves.
im just happy people keep posting up their video's to break up some of the nonsensical drivel on these forums.
Its strange but this type of music has never really been my thing in the past but it just works with freestyle video's and i think yours is a fine example a good kiteboarder just doing what he loves and trying to express this in a little self made edit.
I AM HOWEVER tired of people comparing every single kite movie to "nerk's" which doesn't really do much for me... slow motion, time lapse, still frame, fast forward, cut to sunset ect. These movies arnt in the same league because, well they arnt in the same league!?!? Nerk is trying to make a piece of art (id appreciate an original piece of music or a painting personally) and this guy is just strutting his stuff for his fans, friends, sponsors (necessarily evil) what ever and we are lucky to get to watch it for free.
if he makes money out of doing what he loves, good for him he is doing something right. His video isnt his trade his kite boarding is.
