Has anyone used the FSC fins in the H2 design on their kite surfboard? If so what was your thoughts
are they worth the $$$$
Yep, tried them, didn't like them. I found I couldn't get as much drive from them as my normal fins.
fins are a big part of the boards performance but you also have to look at the rail shape (hard or soft) and bottom shape( concave or vee) is it a kite surf board or just a surfboard and what kind of waves you ride . good for surfing not for kiting
I used to use FCS fins on a cutloose directional board, and found myself going through heaps of fins, due to the tabs that insert into the board snapping of. It could have been my riding style, (like using the fins to cut and carve up wind, instead of edging the board) but after breaking around 10 fins, plastic and fibreglass, I decided to sell the board.
Personally I wouldn't get them again. There are other fins that appear to be the same shape, and look like they have a better, more solid mounting/insert design.

the fcs fins are designed to snap off rather than rip the plugs out. may or may not work for kiting but can save some bucks on your surfboard repairs. personally have never had any problems kiting on fcs, maybe i just don't edge that hard!!!
Future fins are good for kite surfboards, they use them for tow in boards. There alot stronger then fcs. You need the fin boxs in the board. If your getting a board made it sould cost the same as a board with fcs. Just google future fins to check them out.
there is only one truly good removable fin system and that is www.4WFS.com in time people will come to realise this.
A lot of crew don't like carbon fibre fins because of their rigidity and tendency to spin out. Glass fibre fins have more flex, so give a smoother, more forgiving ride. They have a more dynamic feel when really cranking your top and bottom turns.
