Thumbs Up

Thank you volunteers

Without you, there would be no sport and recreation.

As the world celebrated international Thank a Volunteer Day this month, all involved in sport and recreation are asked to reflect on the important contribution volunteers make to our industry and to their local communities.

The important work of volunteers plays a vital role in providing opportunities for all Western Australians to lead physically active lifestyles. As a result, it strengthens relationships within our communities, reduces crime, increases our mental health and leads to better educational outcomes for our children.
Thanks Legend Volunteers!

Worthy of a rant

Outspoken AFL personality Sam Kekovich has his say about volunteering.
In Sam's own words, you don't have to be a superstar like him to really make a difference to a club.

And forward it on to your mates!

From the Department of Sport and Recreation in WA, but relevant everywhere
