found this with search: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=42061&SearchTerms=plastic,zips

Unfortunately it is too old (2 months) to reply to it so I had to start another topic.

I know most current travel bags have got plastic teeth, I'm after one with a plastic zipper also. I have had one travel bag give up on me with plastic teeth just because the zipper was metal. Pimp it out I don't care just hit me up with some options. (Looking for a bag that can fit 2-3 kiters + 137 board + boots)

I've got ma massive Dakine bag, I fitted 4 kites 2 boards 2 harnesses and a pump in it and it wasn't full yet. Didn't take my boots but probably could have squashed them in. The thing with big bas is they are freaking heavy. Yes I realise I have not addressed your plastic zip fetish however I haven't looked at the bag for a while so I'm not sure what kind of zip it has.

I was looking at the Dakine bag that zippers into two seperate ones looks pretty nice. Only problem is the metal zippers, not really keen to spend 200+ $ on something that will last two trips and then be stuffed like my last bag.

I've had the same problem with Zippers, especially the one that don't get used alot,(like travel bags) I was thinking of taking my two in to a canvas place and see if they can put in new zips, that will last.

Same with board bags, if I don't use a board for a long time chances are the zip will rust shut. I guess you could get technical and spray them with CRC and stuff.... but who has time for that??

Check out the Flying Objects Kite coffin or Kite Roller Bag. Both have Plastic Zips and would fit your 137, boots and Kites pretty easy.

or you could go for the flying objects Surfboard roller which is 6,4" and easily fit your board and boots in.

They look like the shiney metal ones going by the photo, virtually all of my flying objects bags now have broken zippers well 5 out of 6 of them. But in fairness it's as much out of neglect as anything, but none of my wetsuits I have get this problem, be they metal or plastic zips.
