Gday people
Your going to think I've lost it now and maybe I have but a while ago I built this swing that goes all the way around, "whats that got to do with Kitesurfing?": I here you ask, well nothing I guess but I am thinking of getting back on it to get some fitness back (sitting in my excavator for 10 years hasn't done me any favours) because the last time I went kitesurfing I was totaly stuffed within a few hours and that was mostly in flat water. Besides I think going upside down may help me with some of the tricks that I hope to be pulling off soon, lol. Cheers Marcus.

Hahaha...thankyou, I resemble that comment...lol, I only used my stick welder and an old trailor axel to make it, not sure if I want to go any higher, it was freeky enough the first time I tried it, wasn't sure if it was going to hold. cheers Marcus

Hahaha...what safety features, lol...no engineer involved just all in my head, lol. I'm just a dumb ass excavator opperator but I can weld not to bad and I collect junk. SWL....hahaha, yeah me=100kg, lol.
I don't realy have plans because I just drew it up on the concrete floor of the shed then I laid the steel out and welded it together it still took a fair bit of working out let me tell you.
cheers Marcus

The first time was very scary but after that it was fun and hard work to go over. I once went over 7times in a row and I almost blacked out, I think it was because the blood in my head was getting pulled down then up then down..etc and I just got more and more dizzy, I could hardly walk when I got off, lol. I had some mates come over to try it and they all neary through up,hahah.
cheers Marcus

I tried one at a fair that was held in south africa. They're pretty good fun. That said, their safety setup wasn't that great so someone blacked out and fell off and nearly died. Make sure you are properly strapped in on the hands and legs, they had wrist straps like you have and apparently that doesn't hold you on when you black out and swinging around at that speed with only your legs attached is an invitation for a head injury.

Valid point. The commercial setup I went on had a strap on the bar, board style straps on the feet and no helmet.

Thanks Neill,
No swaybar here just some scrap pipe, plate steel, HD hingers, a piece of marine ply, two very short seat belts and a solid trailor axel. Put them all together and you have yourself a fantastic terror contraption guaranted to scare the crap out of your friends when they come over for the next BBQ, lol. cheers Marcus.
