Hey folks,
I've just come back from a long cold US winter and need to get out in some wind. Judging from the last few days in Perth it looks like the seabreeze has dropped off, anyone have some good news from further north?
Cheers, seb.
Don't know about up north, but looks like we might get a special present in Perth on the weekend (fingers crossed).
I'll take it if it's here! I would assume that the thermals off the sand dunes in lancelin will give that a boost on what Perth might get aswell?
We went up to shark and coral bay 2 weeks ago, got 6 days out of 6, i could not believe it, wasn't expecting anything, ran into a french guy who said it had been windy for 15 days, looked like a classic summer seabreeze pattern, probably caught the last of it, but shark bay seemed pretty good as could get out in early morning easterlies.
in answer to your question no nothing left :( only day is mothersday .. would she forgive me?
oh and septmeber 11... ooo
now is that shark bay WA? or the shark bay off cape town with the largest population of Great Whites in the world?
this month honestly has to be the worst it gets right? please tell me it doesnt get any worse than this,
good time to go surfing, light wind, plenty of swell (if you pick it)
get in before the temperatue drops
well i know it's that time of the year, but sweet jesus, mary & joseph, I am going stark fkn bonkers at the moment without any kiting...
Sure, it might be time to start going to the gym, surf, run, whatever to keep oneself active, but I don't want to do any of that. I want to go kiting. In the mean time, my colleagues, family, GF & friends are looking at me asking what's up?...
jesus wept. there has to be some green in the forecast soon...doesn't there??? please...
maybe we can organise a holiday for the desperate?
PNG, Cocos, then Maui
all inclusive, back in 4 weeks
maybe cairns this week?
dodgy brothers holidays will help - non refundable deposit of 5 grand each - direct deposit only
I can give u some bank details and we'll hook you up
Think there was some false hope for the weekend, but its died off by the looks of it. maybe tues/wed. oh please.
The BOM has issued a current weather warning:
"Eastern states should be aware that doldrums on the West Coast of Australia may cause mass migrations of the low flying sand groper. Eastern coastal dwellers should be prepared for possible sightings. The western species is distinguishable from the local native by its common lack of neoprene outer skin, thin blue lips, and shivering knees. If spotted it is advised not to leave valuables on the beach and not leave motor vehicles unattended."
