Yep all those that went out had a good time up at newy today.

Even the onlookers had a good time

Everyone handled the conditions really well and thanks to slingshot for having a couple of samller RPM's on hand and the rally 8 was the kite to be on when the wind was up if you wanted to go big did I mention big
google "Vtol"

And a couple more just cause it was gooooooooood

Got out myself at Kurnell on a 7m switchy. Massive gust variations and massive big air. Saw one dude get lofted and carried across bay in 200m skips. Lucky a boatie came to his resque. Today was no time for the inexperienced. Even though obs said 45kn i think it was stronger than that. Felt my arms being stretched once in an accidental unhooked moment..bit scary to say the least.

Too busy picking up roof tiles from my lawn and hoping the tree opposite our house didn't fall over to even look at the beach.

F'in windy down here in Berry this morning. Parts of the town still have no power.

BOM recorded 68 knots at Bellambi point @ approx 0845 05 Sep 2010.
I recorded numerous gusts of 55+ knots. A clue is the smokey bits are generally gusts of 50 knots or more. Basically it was bloody awesome to see!

fark it was windy, I don't remember seeing it windier than that. There were "willy willys" forming all over the place, and rushing straight across the mouth of the hawkesbury

Mate... there were a number of roofs that flew off to New Zealand... well actually they just smashed into the houses across the road but none the less. I managed to get out to the headland only by walking very low. The wind meter on our roof clocked a max wind speed of 70 knts with sustained speeds of about 60 knts lasting a good 3 hours. From the destruction I would say out at the headland it was a good 80+ in the gusts. No kite need to fly.
