Having sat in on numerous council meetings, and been one of many writing submissions to keep a total water ban from being implemented in the Bay (Byron Bay). I would like to thank the tool on the orange Cabrinha and surfboard; (yesterday Tuesday 1st March) that tacked continually back and forth through the flags and near swimmers, for doing more for getting kiting banned here than the people that oppose it. There was no need to tack that far from clarks beach to the wreck. You didn't catch 1 wave. It was only look at me stuff, and there was nothing to see with your learner strapless style. If I didn't have my dog with me I would have kited out for a 'word'. If anyone knows him, let him know. ((had to edit all my name calling out))
Because of the likes of you, I give up on trying to keep the area open. What do you do? I don't know how the guys on the kiting committees do it. Sorry for the rant..............

plant more trees?

Na, just one tree close to the beach will do or ask the council to put up a light pole.

Did you take the time to have a chat to the dude or maybe his GF or mate watching his awesome riding?

Unfortunately was on foot with my dog in tow, so couldn't catch up with him for a chat at that time. I couldn't give a rats if it was a mistake, or he just ended up in there once after losing ground,...but I watched him go through there at least half a dozen times. That photo is purposely flattering to him, so the media can't grab it.
As the heading says...'what do you do'. I certainly don't want to be the gatekeeper. I rarely kite there nowadays. There are way better spots around. So many have the best intentions; but you get one goose blow in and destroy it for all. It's happening in a few other threads at the moment in different areas
I am liking the idea of sending in a squirrel riding a dolphin with a laser beam though.

just an observation, you have some real pent up issues with bridled kites. Every post I see from you is anti bridle. It seems like a irrational fixation. Am I wrong?
