G'day all,

purely of sh!ts and giggles and curiosity, just wondering if there is a heavier kiter out there in kiter land than me. Do you know some one or are you are heavy too?

I heard there is a guy in Singapore who is 160 kg years ago but I was wondering about here in Oz. I reckon I'm it, heaviest at 120 kg (probly more due to lack of kiting)!!

Anyway, just wondering????

cheers,

Robbie

I once launched a guy in Sydney on a 14sqm in about 35knots.
He wasn't overpowered at all, no idea how heavy he was, or if he was even a human.

... tee hee, I've been know to put up big in lots of wind too. I've bent a bar doing a downloop on a 14m in 30 knots, but then the lines snapped moments later. I should dig it out and post a pic some day!

Did a lesson for a bloke who was 140 something. Wasn't easy to talk and look in control while holding the kite. He never took it up though.

A guy at a kite school I was working at was so fat we had to join 2 waist harnesses together to fit around him. What a tank! Not sure if he ended up getting into the sport.

Didn't ask how much he weighed though......

A relatively svelte 107kg.
I'm happy with my body, can hold down some big kites in big winds.
The things still manage to boost me plenty.

Well nobody from Perth has topped me yet - I'm sure I've got the largest kite up in this town at least a lot of days.

I was 135kg's a few years ago and was flying a 17m.

I am down to 105kg's now and flying a 9m a lot easier to inflate.

Man your my hero! 30kgs thats awesome!! Iv just lost 11 and feel heaps better. Iv never been motivated to lose wight until i took up kiting and now i need a new harness already. Keep going mate only 5 kgs to double figures, although you'll need an 8m.

... I hear ya dude, my bread and butter kite back in 2005/2006 was a Naish X4 20m then the North Rhino '06 20m, friggen horrible to pump up the beasts. Thats why I reckon the electric pump is the best invention ever !

Good to hear big boys out there. 112kg when started, lost 10kg then found it again. Started on 14m Rebel with a 16m Rebel as light wind kite. Now kite with a 11m Rebel and a North Phantom board up to 15knts then switch to the 152 Underground. Making a smaller TT but loving the paulownia boards that i made earlier. Love your work Puetz.
