Just wanted to share some movies that we did in the past weeks. Winter is coming, so either buy some race gear and start training for the Olympics 2016 or come with us to do some lankiting. We do mountainboard and kite skating in Perth and around.
No problem to share our boards if you want to give it a crack.
Landkiting in WA
I'll stick to the water and prevent blowing out my knees to early.
EDIT: what would you use? A 6m in 10knots?
Absolute nutters! Great video. Remind me never to go landboarding, boosting and have non-broken legs do not go hand in hand. You blokes have very good landing skills, probably something I should work on one day.
To Underoath
As you suggest start on a 6m kite that depowers well.
What's good with mountainboard is as soon as the kite is flying (around 5 knots) you can do it.
If you use your 6m until 15 knots, you will be in the safe zone.
Test all your safety before ridin as usual
Plus you dont get hit by 3m wave series on sharp reef ... grass is actually pretty soft and you learn ho to crash smoothly
id love to show you how its all done used to trash my msb90 snapped a few deck's, doubt you'd want to lend me anything!
@ Austin :
I had few hard landing too, broke few decks too, but less and less so either the boards are stronger or I learned to land smoothly.
If your snapping decks then look at trampa. can't snap one pf those!..
or go one step better an do what i did. make a carbon deck!. that bastard is unsnappable! i've bottomed it out hundreds of times and smashed it one rocks every session (i have a rocky beach) for 4 years and she's as strong as houses!
Has anyone tried putting straps on the skateboard? I've kinda wondered if this would work work on the road with the kite... just like a land board.
awesome vids , i used to do mountain boarding and kiting in the UK , i've took the skin off my arse several times on them sandy beaches lol .
