Every kiter knows what it is like... Wipe outs, crashes and hard landings!

What are your most intense experiences?

Show us some shots of you smashing the water- regardless if it was a massive kiteloop, unhooked handlepass, backroll or just full speed run diving nose into the wave..

Awesome - any chance of posting the full video?

Unfortunately no

I had about 4hrs worth of video on my computer (and not just trashy video either, just the few seconds either side of each trick) and lost it all when my computer crashed a few years ago.

Now I keep two copies of everything and will hopefully get my brother back out there behind the video camera soon.

A mate of mines first attempt at a backroll. Provided for some nice entertaining but not exactly a hardcore wipeout by any standards

Give him a break. He was just learning to jump when he went on the trip. He was even ballsy enough to try jump over (or through which is the actual result of his attempt) a bush, which is pretty impressive.

some good news to report, santa brought me a A10 impact vest, i am pleased to report after some good quality impacts, ribs intact even after trying to insert the bar into my rib cage. Makes for a safer landing although you do feel slightly padded up when on the beach, well worth considering

Nah, it's Kurnell in Sydney. They actually don't hurt that much, you sorta just bounce a bit and might get a few bruises but other than that it's pretty soft.

Just watch your knees when you try to land them

This one got the crowd excited at kiteweek 06 http://homepage.mac.com/boxburg/iMovieTheater140.html though no injuries
There is some blood at the end of this one, and one or two prangs web.me.com/boxburg/Site_2/Kiteweek_2.html
This one just shows a numpty going out in the wrong conditions homepage.mac.com/boxburg/kitesurfing/iMovieTheater109.html
And this one doesn't look too bad, but it could have been - 30 miles offshore on the Great Barrier Reef directly over the coral homepage.mac.com/boxburg/kitesurfing/iMovieTheater117.html

Yes I know this is an old thread, but with every man and their shark owning a GoPro these days there must be some good video footage/ pics of our collective "greatest hits"

Good thread to bump Galah - Looking at the clarity of Dr Funk's pic.. what a difference three years of tech advancement makes!

Awesome pic. Awkward entry, sensation of speed and impact, with the blurring, and looks like it's nasty, shallow brown water.
