... thanks so much to Kadek, fantastic work and sooooo quick! Here's a kite, tangled up and stuck at the top of the tower at 4pm, he gets it down, its got torn canopy, cuts all over, wet and sandy looking very sorry indeed. By the next morning, there it is all pumped up and ready to go, all fixed up! Wow, now thats damn good service. Oh, did I mention, all for a great price too!

Thanks again Kadek!

cheers,

Robbie

... tee hee apperently you didn't warn Mrs P that you gotta stay clear of this, that and oh, the big f@#ckn tower too ,,, mind you, she does needs coke bottle glasses and her depth perception poor (especially after a few Bintang's), but what Kojack did was really funny,,,,, and from downwind indeed!!!!!

Glad we can laugh about it now!

Robbie

... yeah, thats the ship that got our Costa Rican mate with the Core kite, here is a pic of him smiling his arse off 'cause he didn't get any damage,,,,

The other couple of pics are near the boat its self, in the surf area around the boat and one of the tower that got the missus kite all bent out 'o shape.

As you can see from Tone cool pic (go Pivot), it shows the big flat water area, and at the boat is the edge of the reef where the deep deep blue water meets the really really shalow reef. We didn't have any big swell to speak of when the wind came up, but ironically, the day we got there the waves looked as high as the deck of the ship but with no wind to speak of. I loved it and my crook leg loved it too!

Robbie

G'day Dean,

Yeah I remember you, I don't think I got any pics of you, infact I actually didn't get many photo's as the damn battery was low and every time I got back to my hotel room I was too drunk to remember to charge it up

I took the GoPro out on one of the good days and thought I got some great footage in the waves but again the damn battery failed on me .

Oh well, a good reason for a next time! If only the Bintang wasn't so good and dingin!!!

cheers,

Robbie

Been here 11 days , 3 days on the 17 Argo with a surf board 10 knots but nice easy kite , 1 days 18 knots , last Sunday from memory , on the 12 rally with a 6,2, I'm 87 kg.

Wind is coming back when we leave tomorrow , will be good for 6 days by the look of it.

One thing to note if you come here , have a look at tide times they completely change where and when you kite. Jankee has been very helpful , great set of guys here up and down the resorts

Been out the back on the surf one day, very nice kiting .

When it's on this place is decent , cheap , great people , great kiting but please bring a 16m others you may stay dry for a week .

I've kiting about 12 countries and for the mix of everything including having the family with me this has been a great trip, come here for a break as well as kiting as the wind is far from strong and not predictable , you may get it you may not, if you do , it's fantastic .

Cheers

Out for 4 hours at Canggu Beach today with 6' 1" Kontact and 11m crossbow

Waves good, some double overhead.

Wind around 16-18 knots, reasonably constant.

Definitely worth the trip.

Swinger,
which wind direction works best for Canggu? Might have a look on the way up to Balian next time.

Easterly works OK, cross off - can be a bit light in at the impact zone sometimes, normally when something big is coming through but all good.

Been out for the last couple of days again, it was lighter today and am told by some of the locals that there won't be anything tomorrow.

Apparently it can be hit and miss, it seems that the wind gods were smiling on me as my trip ends tomorrow
