Aitutaki is one of the best flat water spot in the world. On low tide you can reach top speed on 10 cm shallow water.
this is a video of my recent trip there. 16 knoths wind and 12 mt kite.......and only 3 people in the pristine clear water of the lagoon.

It is a nice place no doubt. But it's far from unique, plenty of places like that in this corner of the world.

Where I was yesterday in FNQ, water was not as blue/turquoise, but I had no other kiters to bother with either!

There are still some spots on earth that rate as the best kite slicks ever but are not easy google searches - i like that.

The best flat water spot in the world is..... not as good as a spot that has waves.

It is what it is, hence the title of the topic. There are waves there, these photo's were taken less than 50mtr from where the video was filmed.

Admittedly it is a shallow reef but if you have the ticker and a quick bottum turn, who knows...
If you not chasing flat water then you would be bored to tears with this place. That would be why there are places like Fiji, Indonesia ect. Different strokes for different folks.
