Speedball goes well in surf,it's got good rocker so easy to lift over whitewater and is really soft riding I've only ridden the w18 it's a nice light wind surf option.

Although I don't think there is such a thing as the "Best Twintip for Surf" as there are tons of really good ones ,personally I ride in surf all the time and a board with good flex and generous rocker has always worked the best.

Also my personal preference is a multichannel board for better holding power when toeside.

yep it is a 2014 board not far from release. It has tucked half a surf rail in the middle transitioning to a std twintip rail in the back.
On the deck the upturned rail in the middle forms an ABS edge that faces upward.
Comes with 2 x 70mm surf and 1 x 80mm surf with 2 x 50mm std fins for 'nose'
Size 148 x 43 which feels about like a 135 twintip sizewise.
Will see if I can find some pictures

Hi Adrian, I'm here to blow wind up ya freckle about my beloved FLX.......
Bought it brand new at the end of 2011, fitted some entity footpads to it, and have not yet been able to find a better twinnie
Have demoed most brands, apart from shinn, which I'm hoping to try today if the wind picks up....
I would be very keen to try the abovementioned Axis when it becomes available, please keep us posted.

Keep up the good work

Peace out....

We received a couple of Twin Waves from Adrian when he visited last week. Look great! Graeme has already bought one, hopefully he can write up a review. One left until next order, probably in the new year.

How can you call these twin tips when one ends a swallow tail?? Dont get me wrong they look great but I'd be more inclined to call these boards hybrids??
Also on a similar subject, why are swallow tails so popular for kiting surf boards?? Ive been surfing Ive been surfing 30 years and never rated swallow tails?? Always found them to err on the unstable side, loose but unstable/ unpredictable, why might they be so popular for kiting???

Uh? oceanrodeo.com/mako/?v=7516fd43adaa

Are there any threads around discussing things like the pros & cons of swallow tails, thrusters, etc?

In my opinion the Slingshot one is a weak Tomo imitation and most things about the board are all wrong, I'm sure for kiting it will still work (as anything works) but I reckon it's bogus.
