Yeah, if we're on page 6 before the show even airs you can bet that it's not going to lie down and be still for a while yet...
This is going to make kiting look sooo uncool.. What are yas gunna to do!!!???
Time to ditch the kites and take up water sports that are more credible like surfing or windsurfing.
Water sports that are more challenging and rewarding.
Can't think of any windsurfers or surfers getting snigged through a gravel car park bouncing of a cupla landcruisers and luxy's , by their kit lololollololol
Just gonna throw it out there......
This episode of bondi rescue could work in our benefit. It will drive home to the newbies how dangerous this sport can be and how vigilant you have to be with your gear.
And it could scare away some people who were thinking of taking the sport up as it looks too dangerous.... hence more room on the beaches for me.
Pay attention little Japanese tourist with too much money, all the gear and no idea. Kiteing kills... And if it doesn't kill you, our sharks will. Or our snakes.... or our drop bears.
No wind.... trying to get out of housework by looking busy on computer.
yeer, what everyone else say's......rateings for B/R will hit the roof.......will take the limelight of all the regular drowning ants that happen on an overcrowded overpolluted Sydney beach....interesting to see how much of the show will be dedicated to (1) little kitesurfer in a mess....feel sorry for him, despite all the conjecture,he is one of us!
Im glad TV crew wern't at Wanda today to watch 2 kiters walk with kites above, up to the car park (grassy end) as a helicopter is powering up for lift-off 60 feet away What could go wrong with that plan? All so they dont get sand on their kites. Not too bright
Holy Moly!
I just dropped in from the windsurfing side to see how all youse guys were getting on over here.
It's like accidentally walking over a nest of black ants!
It's a real jungle over here. Kiter eat kiter. (mmm,. that might be nice, if I can pick which ones.)
I'm going back home to the windsurf section where there are "friendly faces everywhere and humble folk without temptation", oh and "ample parking day or night."
windsurfers are like rats stubbornly clinging onto their rotten hulk of a sport as it sinks into the sea
i cant wait to see how they portray our sport tommorow but i don't think it will be in a good way
only 9 more posts to page 7
Ahhh Stamp,User... you guys crack me up...[}:)] And probably bought me beer for rescuing you and your kite at lano at some stage.Kiters kept me in good supply of beer for a few seasons up there.
I love kites
Put your toys away and come play with the grown ups.[}:)]
Kitesurfing at Bondi Beach is not banned.....
It just has regulated hours.
When those red and yellow clubbie flags come down,
the green kiting flag goes up......apparently.
So if you have the desire to kite a super crowded public swimming beach,
if you want to dodge heads in the foam, meatballs in the soup....
Bondi Beach is probably the spot for you.
*Maybe 'kooking-out' is a Sydney thing.
lol.
kinda to be fair why haven't i seen any broken bits of sailing gear dragged to the beach on video only from i think k.p. swimming back to shore on top of board video after breaking a mast on a wave break..
