i am a kiteboarder in saintkilda melbourne and am 14 and need some new tricks. i can do s-bends and raileys and need some new tricks to learn because am kinda stuck for new things to do. if someone can explaine some new tricks show vids and picture sequences that would be great, or if you kite at saint kilda maybe show me how to down there.
thanks
ewan
pull up?? backroll to blind, backroll to toeside, unhooked back roll with a surface pass on landing, back roll with out letting your board leave the water [do it on a wave face to make it easy] or just f16s, Sbend to surface pass, no handed rolls/grabs
or if your not converted to bindings yet try board offs
i probably wont go to binding for a while, i couldnt stand being attached to my board with shoes but thanks for the tricks and will be sure to try if the wind doesnt pick up to much sat forcast 45 knts onshore and fri and sun 30 knts
he can just do basics like railys n sbends.. and you guys are throwing mobes at him! lol as if..
dude learn how to ride blind well, then start throwing ur railys to blind and ur sbends to blind.. im sure there has to be someone at st kilda that can ride blind to help u if u cant get it. then later you can start progressing into blind judges ( raily to blind airpasses) and back 2 blind airpasses etc.
learn F16s to.. bring ur kite higher to 1 or 11 depending which way u ride.. grab the back of the bar with both hands and hold on.. once u got the unhooked kiteloop down start putting backrolls into it as u loop the kite, the kite generally pulls you though the rotation so you wont have to throw it that hard
Check out this site....
It has pics, tricks and brief explanations.http://www.kiteworldmag.com/motordrive/toby-bromwich/
cheers.
all u need is to learn how to do a topturn. once u learn that ull prob get thecovers of some kite mags.
hey ewan, try the kiting dvd kiteboarding 101, they will have it at shq or rps. Actually, your nearly doing most those tricks. just get kiteboarding 201 from shannon best. sick dvd and it explains most the tricks step by step
If you havn't done handle passes, maybe try some pullup or canadian bum passes, then try some board off board spins in the same direction, then with a rotation, then put them together for a 720 board of bum passs?
ewan try progressing what you can do already, simple things like railey to toeside (krypt) or to blind (harder to learn) then learn surface passes and use them on the landing of each trick...
s-bends to toeside/blind, backroll toeside/blind are all good progressive tricks you could learn fairly easily..... Double S-bends need lots of pop if your doing them properly but awesome if you can pull them off (hurt lots when you miss them though)
hope this helps
