August and september!?
Awesome time to do the investigationing lol
Interesting the only non compliance report was via the "incident reporting hotline"
Someone really has it out for you guys...
All the best for the summer fellas!
I see the non compliance was found to be a permitted activity, curious as to what it may have been and wonder what the ruling is with paragliders that sometimes use the Northern end of the beach.
I wonder if that nutcase that swims (breaststroke) south into a 30 knot southwester 100meters offshore in the kite area is going to survive this season.
He is so hard to see when you are kiting into a setting sun.
( Hold your fire!!!! yeah I stopped in the water and spoke to him but "this is where I swim" was his line)
^Yep it is only a matter of time till someone hits him and it will be seen as the kitesurfers fault no doubt (unless a shark gets him first).
For those that may not be aware, watch out for this guy although he has heaps of beach North or South he likes to swim from one end of the kite zone to the other just before sunset and just behind the wave line, into the wind and is almost impossible to see.
I spoke to him last year, I was very polite and said that although there was nothing stopping him swimming there I just wanted him to be aware that he was very hard to see and was putting himself at risk. I suggested it would be heaps safer if he swam further down the beach but he said this is where he wanted to swim.
I was under the impression we are allowed to kite the north end when there are no flags up. Is that correct?
