YES you can do a railey behind a car, Esperence is a great spot for car boarding. Lots of long beaches. The car just provides the propulsion, everything is still done on the water.

I tried doing a railey behind a boat a few times, like I do kiting. I got served with lots of water behind my eyelids and my sinus passages flushed by what remains of the mighty Murray river.
i find wakeboarding alot harder than kiteboarding. can only do grabbed 180s wakeboarding, learning a tantrum tho.
this is exactly like kiting.
