Of course buzz, did one down winder on a TT and rides were so long my back leg nearly fell off, ****en agony!! Good to get on the mako on the next three. Have setup it up foot strap right back and some 50mm north mutant fins, works well. Made me think though I may be adding a SB back to my quiver again...for the bigger days.
I also sat up at the lighthouse spectating this arvo session. I said I was going to hit the bombi this time and I didn't,
ashamed I tell ya, ashamed.....next time
anybody scouted the reefs off of winderbandi point?
way too shallow & gnarly. nowhere to get off the wave & ankle deep coral for a long way in every direction.
it's good spot to fish from the deep side when there's no wind or swell- just don't look at what is swimming in the channel.
anybody scouted the reefs off of winderbandi point?
not there but the gap at tantabidi, big lefts and no shallow reef also approx 1klm south of the gap inside the reef the was a decent wave pushing south( sounds weird and had me baffled with direction) but made a great spot smacking the top off the incoming sets on an outgoing wind, big boosting ramps,(on a tt) also the bombie at the lighthouse, and a few spots the locals love, great times up there over the last few years, 30knts cold swester choppy with seaweed here in dongara wish i was back up there
