I'm looking for a board to ride in smallish cross/onshore wave conditions, that I can also boost on. The freestyle fish sounds like it might be the board for these conditions, but how does it handle jumping(riding with straps)?. Is it likely to suffer pressure dents from repeated landings or even break? or is the construction tough enough to take abuse?
Also how does the freestyle fish compare to the airrush choptop?
anyone? saw one in person today, it looks a little wide to be a good jumping board, but looks good fun never the less. Not sure on how strong the construction is and how much abuse it would take riding with straps?
i want a board that can handle 20ft kiteloops is good to ride in 6ft + swell has ample power to smash the top lip and is non slip so my bowl of wheatbix wont slid off when being used as a breakfast bar on no wind days

. If I was talking about rding in 6ft+ swell then obviously a normal surfboard would be the choice. Maybe you find it strange, but riding a 5"10-6"2 surfboard in 2 foot onshore mush just doesn't cut it for me. I want a board that can smash those pissweak waves to bits on the tack in, and then boost off the back of them on the way back out.
mate i'm f%$#en serious iv'e wreck $1800 worth of boards already so if you can find a board that can live up to mine and i'm sure other peoples expectaions please let us know i like rideing waves love boosting not keen on twin tips and don't always take the piss oh and enjoy long walks on the beach

I love my FSF, I jump mine and nothing happen, it's a rock solid board.
It's a different fun then the undergound freewave, I think that the freewave is more wave oriented then the FSF that is more fun/freestyle toy.

Although the FSF is not break proof, it is made for aerial transitions and trick freestyle in the surf which would imply it is made strong enough to handle general wave/surf abuse.
I certainly wouldn't try kiteloops on one or landing a megaboost hard and flat, but I would imagine jumping over waves on the way out the back wouldn't be an issue so long as you respect the board and keep in mind it is not indestructible.
They are a fun little board for junk surf when conditions are less than ideal for a surfboard.
The 09 Choptop I would imagine is unbreakable, it is without a doubt the heaviest board ever made. If it doesn't surf the way you want, you could always use it for a car ramp!

i have custom stone surf designs for sale they use wood laminate and diviniccell over standard surf blank and polyester resin construction, absolutely bomb proof. kiteloops to flat splat landings no worries and shralping wave ridding 5'6 *17 1/4 single concave 1 year new not a dent onit 5'10 1/2'' *17 3/4 double concave 6months new not a dent onit these boards will last for ever ive been through many pop outs nothing compares. just picked up 6' 0' *18 1/2 bamboo laminate top and bottom with carbon fiber rails looks sik also expected to be bomb proof ,bit sad as wont be riding for quite some time as leg she broke

Has pics of spleene zone. The new one is bigger and quad fin. Because of the twin tip construction and length it is very comfy in the chop.

Underground freewave surfs onshore chop well and you wont find a stronger surfboard.
Not so great in bigger waves though.
Bennie you want a kiteloopable surfboard? Would have to agree with the UG Freewave. The board can take a huge beating. Fuzzy shot below( Dooh! thanks Robbie) but this board has handled over a hundred kiteloop attempts.
Bit confused why you (Lou) don't like the board in big waves. I think it excels in the real windy, big wave stuff....i use this in any condition but sometimes use a stretch epoxy for more volume in the light, small stuff.
