hmm who here thinks sometimes kitesurfing is a boy sport.
Your wrong. What do u think everyone?
much appreciated from good comments.
Girls are great, just no wetties and with limited clothing on,just my opinion, works for beach volleyball
Hi rosy,
Not a boy sport but the majority are boys, yes.
it's just like any other sport i guess.
Paulio im glad you like to watch and enjoy girls kiting.
I'm sure this summer we will see heaps of girls taking up our great sport.
Please give me some wind this week!!!!
Angie
Its only considered a "boy sport" by those annoying chicks who cant go anywhere without makeup and are worried about getting thier hair messed up! Their loss hey girls...they're missing out on all the fun! Long live the sporty chicks...
I think it shouldn't be a boy sport - you don't need super strengh to have fun and get out there - but I think a lot of girls think you do! The more girls out there showing there stuff and the more girls will get into it!
However post of kiteforum with best kite pic etc shows how much it is a guys domain still!
I think girls are as good as the boys, if not better: more safety conscious, more graciuous, and more important, quiet achievers.
I would say too quiet (unlike in other areas).
I realy welcome more girls to take up the sport.
yeah there is a need for more girls same as most sports there is always a low percentage of chicks i dont really see why i know its a good way to get fit and see my a** when i get out of my wetsuit
;) but seriously more chicks needed
kiteboarding is a male dominated sport although that doesnt mean the guys are better . go the girls !!!!!!!!!
Jai
What is a 'boy sport'? A sport for boys? A sport that is considered by the general public as 'for boys'? A sport dominated by boys?
So along the general lines mentioned above, kiteboarding could technically be considered a 'boy sport'. As per Jai's comment. You say I am wrong Rosy? I could be right, but the fact itself that it is, allegedly, a boy sport could, nay should, be wrong. What the world needs is more girl kitesurfers. Definitely. Then boy kitesurfers could meet girl kitesurfers and have little baby kitesurfers. All the problems with mismatched couples having one non-kitesurfing partner would disappear. Wouldn't it be grand!

Good one Azza , turning this topic into a 'boys' topic can't mention girls around here without it all dropping to the gutter.
Oh well at least we know we are appreciated
haha. i hope u boys are planning to do somethink about it then. Someone should promote kiting to more girls or younger generation to. I tell all my friends to begin, so thats a start.

You idiot, girls arent as good as boys in mosts sports including kiteboarding because they arent physically as strong and as athletically built. It's great to see more girls in the sport and its a sport that both sexes can do fairly well in but that statement is a joke. Nice suck up attempt though, pull your head out your arse.
Well,
one reason why chics might not kite is because,
they get claustrophobic out on the big cruel sea.
That's right, they start to freak-out in the confined space.
You see,
kooks with tongues hanging out and desperate house-husbands chase them all over the shop.
And just like a school of sharks that circle their prey,
the boys trap the chic pretty good in a spider web of kite lines.
Like newbees to a honeypot.
Next time bikini-kiter hits the water, check out the rush hour traffic.
lol
What a bunch of arse. Girls go kiting cos they like it. Radical. We don't have to justify or make excuses for it. I'm not very good at it, but I like it a lot. That's all.
why do we need to promote kiting? those who we want doing it are those who see it and have enough initiative to find out themselves. telling people to do it isnt a good idea, u get arseholes out there who should have stayed at home or gone surfing-surfing is over populated and look at the cut throat antics out on the water because of it.
please only suggest it to your friends that u would want to kite with cus its only a matter of time b4 its realised that it isnt $5000 4 a kit and you aren't as likely as it is considered of dieing and in fact its highly unlikely if u r smart with what u do.

I like grills too. Crayfish, with an apricot/garlic baste. Done over coals. For about two and a half beers time, maybe three.
Hi green pat, just thought i'd let you know that we have a two year old baby kitesurfer that likes to help run out our lines and stands on my board with her arms in the air pretending to kite....your wish is my command!!!
Kite surfing is the best thing that ever happened to me.
